Sunny is exactly what his name promises - a genuine ray of light in dog form.
He was rescued as a tiny puppy from the streets of Tule by our friend Rebecca, and he has been charming everyone around him ever since. Sunny was born without one eye, but you would never know it - he navigates the world with complete confidence and ease, and his condition requires no special care whatsoever.
At just one year old, Sunny has already figured out the most important things in life: be kind to everyone, enjoy your food, and never pass up a cuddle on the sofa. He is friendly with other dogs, cats, children, and strangers alike. He is not alpha, not anxious around other animals, and not a big barker. He is simply, genuinely easy.
He travels well in the car, is comfortable on and off the leash, and handles public spaces and new people with relaxed confidence. His house training is coming along well and he is not a chewer. He is working through some food guarding and separation anxiety, and is making great progress with crate training - we fully expect both to settle naturally once he finds his person and his place.
What Sunny needs most is connection. He is not a high-energy dog despite his youth, and would adapt beautifully to apartment or city life -- as long as his days include a good run off-leash, some time at the dog park, and plenty of moments by his human's side. A walk to the corner shop, an afternoon on the sofa, a social afternoon in the neighbourhood -- that is his idea of a perfect day.

Sunny es exactamente lo que su nombre promete -- un verdadero rayo de luz en forma de perro.
Fue rescatado de cachorro de las calles de Tule por nuestra amiga Rebecca, y desde entonces no ha dejado de enamorar a todos los que lo conocen. Sunny nació sin un ojo, pero jamás lo notarías -- se mueve por el mundo con total confianza y soltura, y su condición no requiere ningún cuidado especial.
Con apenas un año de vida, Sunny ya descubrió lo más importante: ser amable con todos, disfrutar la comida y nunca rechazar un abrazo en el sofá. Es amigable con otros perros, gatos, niños y desconocidos por igual. No es dominante, no se pone tenso con otros animales y no es ladrador. Es, sencillamente, un perro fácil y genuinamente encantador.
Viaja bien en el coche, se maneja bien con correa y sin ella, y se desenvuelve en espacios públicos y con personas nuevas con una calma natural. Va muy bien en su entrenamiento de casa y no es destructivo. Está trabajando la ansiedad por la comida y la separación, y avanza muy bien con el entrenamiento en jaula -- estamos seguros de que ambas cosas se estabilizarán en cuanto encuentre a su persona y su hogar definitivo.
Lo que Sunny más necesita es conexión. No es un perro de alta energía a pesar de su juventud, y se adaptaría muy bien a un apartamento o a la vida en ciudad -- siempre que sus días incluyan una buena carrera sin correa, tiempo en el parque y muchos momentos al lado de su humano. Un paseo a la tienda de la esquina, una tarde en el sofá, un rato social en el barrio -- eso es su día perfecto.
