Mamita
We found Mami in Huayapam, a town known for killing street dogs with machetes and in other violent ways. When she saw us, she ran over to us excited and then brought us to meet her 7 very small puppies. She was very malnourished and starving, but still breastfeeding her little puppies. We fed them all, and when we returned a week later, only 2 of the 7 puppies were left (the others likely killed).
Mamita has been very happily adopted by the parents of the Caravana Canina founder and is now living a life of cuddles and car rides in Atlanta, Georgia.
