This medium-sized German Shepherd mix was once a street dog in a quiet hillside village near Oaxaca. Slowly but surely, he began tagging along on walks with a kind rescuer and her pack—and it didn’t take long for him to win her over completely. With his calm presence and sweet eyes, Lucky didn’t just find shelter—he found family.

Now safe and thriving, Lucky has blossomed into an intelligent, faithful, and incredibly obedient companion. He’s sociable with people, friendly with other dogs, and always ready to make new friends. He has a calm nature at home but comes to life when it’s time to play—he loves to run, explore, and especially splash in water. Rivers and fountains are pure joy for him.

Lucky walks beautifully on leash, listens attentively, and thrives on connection—he's the kind of dog who wants to be by your side and part of your life. He’s very well-mannered at the vet, affectionate without being clingy, and has the kind of temperament that makes him a joy to be around.

Because of his background surviving on the streets, he’s not a fan of cats and has a bit of a prey drive when it comes to small animals in the mountains. He can also get a little worked up around fast-moving bikes or motorbikes, but he’s learning to manage that with calm guidance.

Este mestizo de pastor alemán de tamaño mediano alguna vez fue un perro callejero en un tranquilo pueblo en las colinas cerca de Oaxaca. Poco a poco, empezó a acompañar en los paseos a una amable rescatista y su manada, y no pasó mucho tiempo antes de que se ganara por completo su corazón. Con su presencia tranquila y su mirada dulce, Lucky no solo encontró refugio: encontró una familia.

Ahora, a salvo y floreciendo, Lucky se ha convertido en un compañero inteligente, leal e increíblemente obediente. Es sociable con las personas, amigable con otros perros y siempre está dispuesto a hacer nuevos amigos. Tiene un carácter tranquilo en casa, pero cobra vida cuando llega la hora de jugar: le encanta correr, explorar y, sobre todo, chapotear en el agua. Por su pasado sobreviviendo en las calles, no le gustan los gatos y tiene algo de instinto de caza con animales pequeños en las montañas. También puede alterarse un poco con bicicletas o motocicletas que pasan rápido, pero está aprendiendo a manejarlo con guía y calma.
