True to her Belgian Shepherd nature, Copala is highly intelligent and eager to learn, while being deeply loyal, attached and affectionate with her close humans. She would thrive in a home that enjoys activity, structure, and time outdoors. She seems to have two modes: being a sweet gentle and affectionate house dog, whom you can carry or cuddle with as a slinky, then switching to high intensity and instincts when hiking outdoors.

As a Shepard she needs daily exercise and enough mental stimulus. Copala is affectionate, very well-mannered, and incredibly gentle — the perfect balance of strength and sweetness. She would do well with children above 10 years old and is trained to co-exist with cats. She is well trained in the car and house. She does well on the leash but can be distracted with too much high energy. She does love to herd animals such as horses and cattle, and even other dogs.

Fiel a su naturaleza de pastor belga, Copala es altamente inteligente y tiene muchas ganas de aprender, además de ser profundamente leal, apegada y cariñosa con sus humanos cercanos. Prosperaría en un hogar que disfrute de la actividad, la estructura y el tiempo al aire libre. Parece tener dos modos: ser una perrita dulce, gentil y afectuosa en casa —con la que puedes cargar o acurrucarte como si fuera una “slinky”— y luego cambiar a un modo de alta intensidad e instinto cuando sale a hacer senderismo.

Como pastor, necesita ejercicio diario y suficiente estimulación mental. Copala es cariñosa, muy bien educada e increíblemente gentil —el equilibrio perfecto entre fuerza y dulzura. Le iría bien en un hogar con niños mayores de 10 años y está entrenada para convivir con gatos. Se comporta muy bien en el coche y en casa. Camina bien con correa, aunque puede distraerse si hay demasiada energía a su alrededor. Le encanta pastorear animales como caballos y ganado, e incluso a otros perros.
